KABUL, March 25 (KUNA) -- Two Afghan civilians and an ISAF soldier were
killed in two separate incidents of violence in Afghanistan, officials said on
Thursday.
According to ISAF officials, six civilians were injured as the
international troops came under fire from militants in Bak district of the
southeastern Khost province.
The international troops returned fire and six Afghan civilians were
injured, with two of them later dying of wounds. The rest were treated at the
ISAF medical facility in that area, said the statement.
"The cause of the civilian casualties is currently unknown and the incident
is being investigated," it added.
Separately, a soldier of the international security assistance force was
killed in southern Afghanistan on Thursday.
Press office of the multinational force said the soldier died as a result
of a small-arms attack in southern Afghanistan. Name and nationality of the
soldier was not released for police reasons. (end)
