GAZA, March 20 (KUNA) -- Rocketeers of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades have fired
a pair of missiles targeting the Israeli settlement of Kissufim.
The Palestinian faction, the military wing of Fatah, said in a statement
issued on Saturday the Aqsa-two rockets directly hit the target and the
rocketeers withdrew safely to base despite intensive overflights by Israeli
aircraft.
The operation was in retaliation for the practices of the Israeli
occupation forces in Jerusalem.
Late on Friday, 14 Palestinians were wounded in Israeli air strikes on the
region of Gaza airport east of the border town of Rafah. Israel said the raid
was in response to the firing of missiles on Western Negev.
Tit-for-Tat attacks between the Israelis and the Palestinians have
noticeably escalated against the backdrop of stumbling efforts to re-launch
the Middle East peace process. (end)
