BAGHDAD, March 3 (KUNA) -- The toll after the blasts in the Iraqi city of
Baquba, north of Baghdad, Wednesday morning went up to over 80 people between
dead and wounded, making this the bloodiest attack on Iraq recently just four
days ahead of the legislative elections.
Iraqi Police told KUNA the number of the dead went up to 33 people while
the injured are said to be 52, in a semi-official tally.
Police are now suspecting the last of the three blasts to have targeted
Diyala Police Chief Abdelhussein Al-Shimmiri who was on a tour in the area.
