KABUL, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- A soldier of the International Security Assistance
Force (ISAF) was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in
southern Afghanistan on Thursday.
A statement issued by the ISAF headquarters on Thursday said the casualty
was not associated with 'Operation Moshtarak' (together).
Meanwhile, the government hoisted the national flag in Marja district,
Helmand Province, on the 13th day of the massive military operation being
conducted by the UK, US and Afghan security forces.
Governor of Helmand Province went to the district and hoisted the flag on a
house in the presence of the Afghan and foreign security forces.
The governor also introduced district chief for Marja and expressed the
hope that he would serve the people in a better way and would resolve their
problems in the days ahead. (end)
