ISLAMABAD, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- At least five people were killed and over ten
others were wounded on Wednesday in the latest US missile strike in North
Waziristan tribal agency of Pakistan, along Afghan border, said security
sources.
An umanned US drone fired about two missiles at a suspected militant
compound in Dargah Mandi area of the agency, security sources told KUNA.
They said the attack completely destroyed the building and killed several
people. When a large number of people gathered to rescue the victims, said
sources, another missile hit the site.
So far five casualties have been confirmed by the security officials but
tribal sources put the death toll to more than ten. Tribal sources said that
several wounded were in critical condition. (end)
