IAEA delegation arrives in Iran

TEHRAN, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Spokesman of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) Ali Shirzadian on Sunday annouced that a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) arrived yesterday, at the invitation of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, to study the ability of Iran's nuclear safety system.
The Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted Shirzadian as saying that the delegation began to study the capacity of Iran's nuclear safety from various aspects and go on for two weeks.
He added, that the delegation will assist the surveillance of Iran's nuclear safety facilities in cases such as safety evaluation, issuance of the license, control, enforcing the law, preparation, drafting of regulations, rules and nuclear safety requirements at international level.
The delegation consists of senior officials and experts in nuclear safety in countries that have advanced nuclear technology. (end).
