Four killed in suicide attacks on police stations in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Feb 20 (KUNA) -- A senior local police officer and three assailants were killed on Saturday in two suicide attacks on two police stations in northern districts, said police.
A suicide bomber blew himself at the gate of a police station in Balakot district, killing Senior House Officer (SHO) Khalil-ur-Rehman, said District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Waqar-ud-din while to reporters.
Police sources told KUNA that at least seven policemen were wounded in the incident.
The second attack took place on another police station in Mansehra district, about five kilometers from Balakot. The DPO said that two militants tried to enter the city police station in Mansehra.
A suicide bomber threw a hand grenade and opened fire, he said, adding police personnel deployed at gate responded actively and killed one suicide bomber while the other managed to escape the scene.
However, local police officer, Saeed Khan, told media that both suicide bombers were killed in the attack.
