GAZA, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- Israeli troops fired shells in the direction of
groves near Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the center of Gaza Strip on Saturday
seriously wounding one Palestinian farmer.
Dr. Muawiah Hassanain, in charge of the emergency ward of the Palestinian
Health Ministry, said five shells targeted Palestinian farmers who were
working at their fields east of the camp.
The shelling seriously wounded one farmer and the others suffered from
shock due to the unprovoked attack, he said.
The Israeli Army, several days ago, dropped leaflets from the air on the
strip, warning the Palestinians against approaching the separation fence. (end)
