Israeli forces injure seven Palestinians in Nablus

GAZA, Dec 26 (KUNA) -- Seven Palestinians, including a pregnant woman, were injured in Saturday's Israeli attack on Nablus, where three Fatah activists were killed earlier in the day, announced Palestinian medical sources.
The sources said the seven people were injured when Israeli forces attacked the homes of the three activists.
Among the injured was a pregnant woman, the wife of Fatah activist Raed Al-Sarkaji who was shot dead on Saturday, they said.
The sources added that Israeli forces prevented Palestinian ambulances and civil defense teams from reaching the home of Fatah activist Anan Sabah, 33, who was killed on Saturday in a five-hour Israeli attack.
The Palestinian Presidency, represented by its spokesman Nabil Abu Rudaina, condemned the Israeli attacks in Nablus, saying that this escalation was "a return to the Israeli policy of political assassinations and random killings." On their part, Fatah's political leadership, as well as its military wing - Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) condemned the Israeli assassinations in Nablus and the killings of four Palestinian boys in Gaza Strip on Saturday.
On its part, the Israeli Army claimed that the three assassinated Palestinians were responsible of killing an Israeli rabbi a couple of days ago.
Israel Radio quoted sources from the army as saying that the three Palestinians opened fire at the rabbi's car in Shafi Shamron settlement near Nablus.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and PIJ's military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility on Friday of killing that rabbi on Wednesday.
On Saturday, around 50 Israeli vehicles, including tanks and bulldozers, intruded in Nablus and surrounded a numbers of homes, before three Palestinian activists were killed. (pickup previous) mzt.ris KUNA 261152 Dec 09NNNN
