(With photos) KUWAIT, Dec 24 (KUNA) -- Health Minister Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer on Thursday reaffirmed providing all medical care needed to treat injured Iraqis, who arrived here earlier today, all the way until they are fully recovered.
In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Sayer said treating the 20 injured Iraqi citizens came "out of Kuwait's belief and contribution to alleviate suffering of our Iraqi brothers." His Highness the Amir's initiative to treat the injured was expected of his benevolent charachter, he noted, hoping for their speedy recovery.
On his part, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs at the ministry Dr. Khaled Al-Sahlawi said the injured were distributed according to their cases, which varied between broken bones and face injuries.
A medically-equipped C-130 Kuwaiti military aircraft landed here this afternoon with the injured onboard, including three children and 19 escorts, who were then transferred by 20 ambulances to Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base, Al-Sabah and Al-Amiri hospitals. (end) mah.hb KUNA 242044 Dec 09NNNN
