US, Iraqi forces kill, arrest terrorist cell members in Mosul

BAGHDAD, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- US and Iraqi forces on Tuesday killed an Iraqi man and arrested five others, all accused of forming a terrorist cell that prepare booby-trapped vehicles in the northern city of Mosul, the American army said.
Acting upon intelligence, the forces executed an operation in western Mosul in search of a leader of Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist network whose specialty is to prepare booby-trapped cars, the army said in a statement.
One of the suspects attempted to attack the forces during the operation prompting the troops to shot him dead, added the statement.
The army said following the shooting, five cell members were arrested.
