ISAF soldier killed, militants held in Afghanistan

KABUL, Sept 28 (KUNA) -- A soldier of the International Security Assistance Force was killed in Afghanistan, the multinational force announced on Monday.
A statement from ISAF headquarters said the soldier died of non-combat related incident in Kabul, the central capital of Afghanistan on September 27.
Further details about the incident and the soldier were not made public.
Separately, the international force reported arrest of several suspected militants during a search of a compound in Wardak province.
A separate statement from ISAF headquarters said the compound was known to be used by a Taliban element responsible for supplying large number of weapons to subordinate militant commanders in the area.
