Iraq neighbors meet set for October 14 in Sharm El-Sheikh

CAIRO, Sept 13 (KUNA) -- The foreign ministers of Iraq's neighboring countries are set to hold a meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh, presided by Egyptian Interior Minister Habib Al-Adli, a Foreign Ministry official announced on Sunday.
Assistant to the Egyptian Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Ambassador Abdelrahman Salahiddeen in a press release said the states to take part are Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Bahrain, and the host state, along side representation from the Arab League.
The official said the summiteers would review measures taken by each and all to help protect Iraq's security and stability and the measures and cooperation needed still in this regard.
The ministers involved are expected to express support of Iraq in its current battle against terrorism and stress condemnation of violence and stress the state's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting is of special importance as it follows recent bombings targeting several Iraqi state institutions.
