TEHRAN, June 21 (KUNA) -- Five family members of Hashemi Rafsanjani, head
of the Expediency Council have been arrested, news reports said Sunday.
The Tabnak website, close to Secretary of the Expediency Council and
presidential candidate Mohsen Rezaie, said, "five members of the family of
Hashemi Rafsanjani were arrested yesterday, including his daughter, Faeza
Hashemi."
The website said those arrested include the daughter of Faeza Hashemi, wife
of Hussein Marashi (Rafsanjani's son-in-law), her daughter and sister.
Some reports said the five took part in yesterday's riots in Azadi Street
in downtown Tehran. (end)
