ISAF soldier dies in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, June 6 (KUNA) -- A soldier of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed in southern Afghanistan on Saturday.
Spokesperson for the multinational force Brigadier-General Richard Blanchette said the soldier died as a result of a hostile incident.
The ISAF headquarters did not release name and nationality of the slain soldier. Exact location of the incident was also not disclosed.
In northern Afghanistan, militants attacked office of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) and injured two local security guards.
The attack on the FAO office was carried out in the country's northern province of Kunduz this morning, said a police official. The attackers managed to escape.
In a third incident the same day, a suicide bomber injured two children as the explosives fastened to his body went off prematurely in the country's southern province of Kandahar.
Local officials said the bomber was standing on roadside. The device suddenly went off that killed the bomber himself and injured two children. (end) gk.gta KUNA 061837 Jun 09NNNN
