KUWAIT, June 6 (KUNA) -- Gulf Bank announced Saturday that it 80 percent of
it's branch employees were now Kuwaiti, and 43 of its 47 branches across
Kuwait (90 percent of its branches) had a Kuwaiti branch manager.
"This is a significant accomplishment for the bank which has had a
long-term strategy of recruiting and developing Kuwaiti talent, and of
investing in community initiatives that encourage young people to join the
banking sector", said Gulf Bank Chairman Ali Al-Rashaid Al-Bader in a press
release.
Over 310 new Kuwaiti employees have been hired by Gulf Bank since the
beginning of the year in various departments including retail, operations,
information technology, human resources and marketing, he said.
He added that the bank would continue to have job opportunities open to
professional Kuwaitis, who would like to have a challenging career with Gulf
