BAGHDAD, April 13 (KUNA) -- A Coalition forces soldier died of injuries
sustained during an explosively formed projectile attack on a convoy five
kilometers south of Karbalah on Monday, according to a statement issued by the
US Army in Iraq.
The Soldiers name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin
and release by the Department of Defense, it added.
The incident is currently under investigation, it said.
Some 4,273 US soldiers have so far been killed since Operation Iraqi
Freedom started in 2003, including nine who were killed this month. (end)
