GENEVA, April 2 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Ambassador to UN in Geneva Hisham Bader
said here on Thursday that his country calls for equality treatment in all
matters connected with Avian flu such as virus sharing, development and
benefits of such an international health preventive process.
In a meeting in Geneva called by Norway, Bader said that the aim of the
meeting was to hold a round of consultation between infected countries that
have samples of the bird flu virus and industrialized countries which have the
capacity to produce vaccines to confront such a virus.
He added that the Norwegian led meeting attended by 20 countries is to
prepare for an inter-governmental meeting for preparedness to face bird flu on
the sidelines of the World Health Assembly in May in Geneva. (end)
