ISLAMABAD, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Police defused four more bombs after three
blasts rocked the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore Saturday evening.
Citing police sources, local news channels reported that police found four
more small-intensity bombs outside the Arts Council and Cultural Complex
buildings and successfully defused them.
Also, police has claimed to have arrested one suspect from the explosion
site. The explosions occurred when the nine-day International Performing Arts
Festival has entered into its concluding session.
A statement from the festival organizer, Farhan Peerzada, said that the
concluding session has been postponed as about 50 foreign delegates have
already left. He said more than 200 foreign delegates were performing in the
festival.
The President and the Prime Minister have strongly condemned the blasts.
