DAMASCUS, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- The Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Al-Dahabi
will be on an official visit to Syria next Thursday upon invitation of his
Syrian counterpart Muhammad Naji Al-Utri, a cabinet statement here said.
The statement said the PM, accompanied by a government and economic
delegation, will be meeting Syrian officials to discuss enhancement of
bilateral relations between the two countries and means to strengthen them in
the economic and development fields.
A Jordanian diplomatic source stated to KUNA the discussions during the
one-day visit will focus on economic and commercial relations, in view of an
agreement signed by the two states in this field.
It added that Al-Dahabi is scheduled to meet Syrian President Bashar
Al-Assad, where he will deliver a letter from the King of Jordan Abdullah II,
concerning relations and the latest developments in the Arab region.
It also mentioned that Al-Dahabi will hold talks with his Syrian
counterpart on issues involving the sectors of transportation, water, and
electricity and on issues relating to the Jordanian-Syrian Higher Joint
Committee.(end)
