TEHRAN, March 9 (KUNA) -- Iran will ask for compensations during the halt
of its nuclear activities for more than two years, the Secretary of Iran's
Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said on Sunday.
Jalili made his comment to local media when he was attending an
International Conference on Iran's Peaceful Nuclear Program and Activities,
adding that "those who made us stop uranium enrichment based on false
accusations will have to pay for compensations as a result."
The Iranian official also expressed readiness for dialogue with the western
powers, noting that "Tehran welcomes any talks on the issue, however dialogue
must come with conditions," but he did not mention what are those conditions.
"The international community is able to cooperate with Iran in various
fields like security, energy, and economy," he added.
On a different note, Jalili said that he will not receive the US Secretary
of State Condoleezza Rice for talks.
Jalili made the remark when asked by one of the participants in a nuclear
meeting in Tehran on whether he would accept Rice for talks if she made such a
proposal. (end)
