BAGHDAD, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- A US soldier was killed when his vehicle was
struck by an improvised explosive device yesterday, the Multi-National Force
(MNF) said Thursday.
The MNF statement did not give further details on the attack, and said the
name of the deceased was being withheld pending notification of the next of
kin.
With this the number of US soldiers killed since the beginning of the war
in Iraq in March 2003 stands at 3,968, of which 24 were killed this year. (end)
