NEW DELHI, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Five separatist insurgents including a top
commander of Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujaheedin (HM) were killed in separate
encounters in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir Friday.
In north Kashmirs Drusoo village four insurgents -- Abu Shams, Arshid,
Aslam and Hameed all belonging to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed
in an encounter with the Indian paramilitary force today, news agency Indo
Asian News Service reported.
In another incident in south Kashmirs in Kulgam district -- Rahool Bhat, a
"self-styled battalion commander" of HM was killed by the Indian Army today,
the news agency said.
One AK-47 rifle and two magazines were recovered from the encounter site.
