GAZA, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Izzeddine Al-Qassam Brigades declared it was
responsible for attacks that targeted Israeli military troops on outskirts of
Gaza Strip on Saturday.
In a statement, the brigades, the military wing of the Islamic
organization, Hamas, said the fighters detonated three explosive charges,
targeting an Israeli special military unit during a military incursion in
Abasan Al-Kabir area south of Gaza early today.
The ambush was intended to prevent the Israeli military from attacking
Gaza, revealed the statement, adding that mortar shells were launched against
the Hebrew state's soldiers east Zeitune neighborhood in Gaza city.
Al-Qassam vowed to continue attacks against Israel in retaliation for
continuous military incursions in Gaza. (end)
