GAZA, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- A jeep belonging to Hamas-formed police force was
remotely detonated by an explosive device early on Thursday, eyewitnesses told
KUNA, adding that the blast was executed by an unidentified group.
The attack that targeted the vehicle in al-Falougha area, west of Jabalia
refugees' camp northern Gaza Strip resulted in no casualties, yet it damaged
the car and nearby buildings, according to the eyewitnesses.
Hamas, in statement issued today, accused the Fatah-run Palestinian
Authority of being behind the attack, saying that Fatah "overlooking" the
attack was a clear sign of its involvement.
The statement pledged to "strike with an iron fist" those responsible of
the bombing.
The Hamas-led government, which rules the Gaza Strip, was dismissed by
President Mahmoud Abbas in mid-June 2007. (end)
