BAGHDAD, Aug 30 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Islamic Da'wah (Call) Party admitted
Thursday that security responsible for protecting visitors to Karbala had been
breached, leading to the recent riots which resulted in the death of 55 people
and the injury of many others.
The party called in a statement on all citizens to support Prime Minister
Nouri Al-Maliki's decision, allowing justice to prosecute those responsible
for the crime.
The recent incident in Karbala showed that the Iraqi quest for peace and
stability would require more effort and commitment to prevent enemies of the
country from inflicting more damage.
All attacks in Karbala clearly show the ill intentions towards our nation,
said the statement, urging all Iraqis to reinforce stability and law. (end)
