RAMALLAH, Aug 24 (KUNA) -- Two Palestinians were killed when Israeli troops
raided the town of Saida near Tulkarm City, eyewitnesses said on Friday.
The troops made the incursion this evening and surrounded the house of
Tariq Melhim, 22, of the Islamic Jihad movement, who was later killed along
with 11-year-old Mahmoud Al-Qarnawi when the Israeli forces randomly opened
fire on the house.
According to the eyewitnesses, another person was seriously injured during
the operation.
Sideeq Auoda, a Palestinian activist, was arrested by the army, as he was
on Israel's wanted list for five years.
Live and rubber bullets, in addition to gas grenades were used in the
clashes. (end)
