Iraq''s senior ministry official kidnapped in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Aug 20 (KUNA) -- Unknown gunmen kidnapped acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Samir Salim Al-Attar in Baghdad, police sources said Monday.
The sources said in press remarks the gunmen abducted Al-Attar while he was returning to his house in Baghdad last night.
Minister of Science and Technology Raed Fahmi, in a phone call with KUNA, confirmed the abduction and hoped he would be released soon.
Oil Undersecretary Abduljabbar Al-Wakka' and four managers in the Oil ministry were kidnapped on August 14 by gunmen wearing uniform. (end) mhg.bs KUNA 202214 Aug 07NNNN
