ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (KUNA) -- Two soldiers were killed and three were wounded
Wednesday in a militant attack on their vehicle in the southwestern Pakistani
province of Baluchistan.
The soldiers were on routine patrol when militants fired several rockets at
the vehicle in the gas-rich town of Sui, about 350 kilometers southeast of
Quetta, the provincial capital, police sources told KUNA.
They said the attack left two soldiers dead and wounded three others. The
vehicle was badly damaged in the attack, they added.
In another incident, said sources, suspected militants used homemade bombs
to blew up two gas pipelines in Mastung area Tuesday night.
Nationalist Baluch militants frequently attack security forces and vital
government installations in the province to pressurize the government into
heed ingto their demands of maximum provincial autonomy and increase in
