Israel to resume trial of Ahmad Saadat -- Israeli sources

GAZA, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- Israel is to resume Sunday trial of the Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Ahmad Saadat.
Saadat was arrested March 14 last year after Israeli forces broke into Jericho Prison. He is to stand before a military court in Ramallah.
PFLP sources meanwhile told KUNA Israel accuses Saadat of being behind the assassination of extreme Israeli minister Rahbaam Zaefi years ago in Jerusalem.
Saadat had refused to recognize the Israeli court's legitimacy in a session late last month and would not stand up when told to by the judge.(end) zt.wsa KUNA 051249 Aug 07NNNN
