IRBIL, July 16 (KUNA) -- An Iraqi police officer was killed by anonymous
gunmen, while the joint forces detained a terrorism suspect in the city of
Kirkuk northern Iraq, police said on Saturday.
A source from the police told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that gunmen who
were driving a civilian car bearing no plate number shot dead Ihsan Ghadban,
an officer in Tarkalan police station in Qatha Al-Huwaija district in
southwestern Kirkuk.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Army troops with the support of the Multi-National forces
conducted a raid in Al-Askari neighborhood in Qatha Al-Huwaija district.
The joint forces detained a terrorism suspect during the raid operation.
