BAGHDAD, June 30 (KUNA) -- A US soldier was killed and another three were
injured in a bomb explosion in Baghdad, the US Army said Saturday.
An army statement said a US soldier belonging to the Multi-National Force
(MNF) was killed on Friday and three others were wounded when a bomb exploded
near their patrol vehicle in southern Baghdad.
The exact location of the bombing was not disclosed.
With this, the number of US soldiers killed since the beginning of the
US-led war in Iraq in March of 2003 stands at 3,587. Of these, 101 were killed
this month alone. (end)
