IRBIL, June 8 (KUNA) -- Iraqi police arrested Friday two members of
terrorist "Ansar Al-Sunna" group near Kirkuk, while unknown militants
kidnapped two civilians from the same city.
Police Brigadier Sarhad Qader told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the two
terrorists were arrested in the area of Rashad, southern Kirkuk, adding that
evidence was found in their possession that implicated them in a number of
terrorist acts.
The brigadier added that two civilians were kidnapped on Baghdad Road in
central Kirkuk.
Moreover, Qader said Iraqi security and police forces searched the Baghdad
Garage area in Kirkuk, adding that they found and confiscated weapons. (end)
