BAGHDAD, May 27 (KUNA) -- A group of gunmen abducted Sunday a high-ranking
Iraqi police officer while other gunmen assassinated two officers in an area
north of the capital, said a security source Sunday.
The source told KUNA that the abducted officer worked for Diyala province
police department, located west of Baghdad, saying that masked gunmen,
disguised as security personnel, took the policeman to an undisclosed location.
On a separate account, two Iraqi police officers from Salaudeen province
police, northern Baghdad, were assassinated by masked gunmen, the source
