Ammar Al-Hakim escapes assassination in southern Baghdad BAGHDAD, April 20 (KUNA) -- Ammar Al-Hakim, head of the Secretary General of Islamic Propagation Organization in Iraq, escaped an assassination attempt Friday in southern Baghdad.
A security source told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Hakim's convoy was attacked by unknown militants in Lutfiya district on the Baghdad-Najaf Road, wounding six of his bodyguards.
It is yet unknown if Hakim was wounded in the attack.
