US-Algerian Co. to carry on development projects in Algiers - USABC ALGIERS, April 1 (KUNA) -- Three American companies alongside several Algerian institutions will soon establish a US-Algerian company which would carry out developments projects in the capital, said Chairman of the US-Algeria Business Council (USABC) Ismail Sheikhon Sunday.
Sheikhon told the Algerian Press Service (APS) that the company would carry out "Yser" seaport project in Bumerdas state east of the capital, saying that the project would cost USD 10 millions.
The three US companies would handle projects in the country, stated Sheikhon, revealing that US investments here reached USD five billion with about 20 American company working in the energy sector while 10 others work in other sectors.
The Algerian businessman called for exporting goods to the US, benefiting from the system which allows products from certain countries to enter the US without paying custom fees. (end) ft.gta KUNA 012327 Apr 07NNNN
