KUWAIT, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Applied Sciences and
Training (PAAET) announced here Monday that it would work on designing
Kuwait's first solar energy station in cooperation with the Pan Arab
Consulting Engineers (PACE).
A PAAET statement said PACE would provide the initial design for the energy
complex to be situated in PAAET campus in Aradiya industrial area, adding that
total cost of the project would be at KD 4.5 million with it being dated for
completion by 2013.
The project is aimed at reinforcing the principle of clean energy and
alternative power resources, said the PAAET statement.
PAAET noted that PACE would also utilize the roof in several colleges and
learning facilities to provide maximum exposure to solar cells to absorb
energy and converting it to electricity. (end)
