KUWAIT, Aug 7 (KUNA) -- Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) is offering students new academic services starting next semester, Vice-President for Academic Services Dr. Sabah Al-Quadoomi told KUNA, Sunday.
Al-Quadoomi noted the most important services include a center that would help students in their studies, which is to specialize in but not limit itself to helping students with poor performance. The center is to help in choosing classes as well as guide newly-registered students.
The center would cooperate with both the registration and student affairs administrations and with the faculties at gust. It is to offer counsel regarding social, psychological, and financial problems that could affect students' performance.
Other services are also to be provided that would work out problems to do with registration and full classes students need to register in according to their major sheet.
While helping the students, the services would also organize things in a manner that would make it easier for the university to consider the number of students enrolled and classes offered each semester and the number of students per class, Al-Quadoomi said.(end) asa.tb.wsa KUNA 071253 Aug 11NNNN
