GAZA, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- Al-Nasser Saladin Brigades, the military wing of the
Palestine Popular Resistance Committees (PPRC), on Sunday claimed
responsibility for firing nine mortar shells at an Israeli military site east
of Rafah, Gaza Strip.
The shelling targeted Karm Abu Salem's tanks hanger, the group said in a
statement.
It added that its elements were able to carry out their mission and return
safely to their bases, noting "the attack was in response to the continuous
Israeli aggressions, most recent of which resulted in killing five resistance
fighters last night."
Earlier today, Israeli army said a mortar shell landed and exploded in
Ashkol town, with no casualties or damages reported. (end)
