CAIRO, July 6 (KUNA) -- Six labor workers were killed and 12 others were
wounded on Tuesday after a bus driver opened fire randomly at his passengers
in western Cairo, reported the Middle East News Agency (MENA).
The news agency quoted Assistant Interior Minister Major Generzal Osama
Al-Marasi as saying that the bus driver was an employee of a construction
company and had pulled over the company bus and used an assault rifle to fire
at his passengers.
Security personnel rushed to the area and arrested the bus driver, taking
him away for interrogation.
The wounded were taken to hospital for treatment. (end)
