GAZA, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- Palestinian gunmen fired a rocket at western Negev,
southern Israel, on Monday but caused no casualties, an Israeli military
spokesman said.
The spokesman, quoted by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper in its website,
said Palestinian gunmen fired a rocket towards southern Israel which landed in
the western Negev.
He said the explosion caused by the rocket did not harm anyone nor caused
material damage.
No Palestinian factions claimed responsiblity for the rocket attack.
Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak threatened earlier in the day to launch
a military offensive against Gaza Strip to stop the firing of rockets. (end)
