Russia claims Iran not working on developing military nuclear program

MOSCOW, Dec 25 (KUNA) -- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Sultanov said Friday that Iran is not working to develop a military nuclear program.
He told Interfax here that Russia does not have information about the existence of a nuclear program with military character in Iran.
He added that Russia did not recieve any signs or evidence indicating the existence of such program in Iran.
Sultanov denied that his country opposes the imposition of sanctions against Iran but said Russia prefers to resort to political means and diplomacy to persuade Iran to find a solution to the crisis over its nuclear program, mainly via dialogue to bring to an end this regional crisis.
