ISLAMABAD, Aug 21 (KUNA) -- A policeman was killed and another was wounded
in a firing by militants on Friday in a northern Pakistani city.
A police mobile van was on routine patrol in Peshawar, capital of
North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), when masked militants riding a motorbike
fired at their vehicle, police sources told KUNA.
They said a policeman was killed on the spot while another sustained
serious injuries. The militants escaped. (end)
