GAZA, April 18 (KUNA) -- Saladin Brigades, the military wing of the Popular
Resistance Committees, claimed responsibility for firing a mortar shell early
Saturday morning at Israeli troops executing an incursion into Qarara village.
In a statement, the brigades said that its activists fired a 100mm mortar
shell at the troops, who were engaged in an incursion into the eastern part of
the village, located east of the southern Gaza city of Khan Younes.
It said the Palestinian activists who executed the attack returned to base
safely.
The attack is in response to the repetitive Israeli incursions, it
