Kuwait participates in ARABESQUE festival in US

KUWAIT, Feb 19 (KUNA) - Kuwait participates in Arts of the Arab World (ARABESQUE) festival organized by the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C from February 23rd through March 15th.
"This is the first time that Kuwait participates in such a cultural festival along with other governmental and non-governmental organizations from the Arab world abroad" Director-General of Foreign Media Abdullah Al-Khaldi told KUNA.
He said that every Arab country will present to the American society its cultural, artistic work, and craftsmanship in an attempt to give visitors an insight into Arab cultures and traditions.
Al-Khaldi added that Kuwait's contribution in the festival include an adapted play "Richard III -an Arab Tragedy", and Kuwaiti calligraphic work will be displayed through the costumes used in the play done by Kuwaiti architect Fareed Abdal. Kuwait will participate in ARABESQUE Arab Bridal Exhibition where traditional wedding gowns, and bridal jewelry from Arab countries will be displayed. (end) nfa.aia KUNA 191530 Feb 09NNNN
