ALGIERS, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- Al-Qaeda North Africa wing claimed responsibility
on Wednesday for the deadly suicide bombing in Algeria according to a
recording aired by Al Arabiya television.
The speaker who identified himself as Salah Abu Mohammad, a spokesman of
the group, said a suicide bomber rammed a truck laden with at least 500 kg
(1100 lbs) of explosives into a police facility.
Algerian Interior Ministry said three people were killed and seven injured
in the first major attack in Algeria since a twin bombing in the capital
Algiers killed at least 37 people on Dec. 11, including 17 United Nations
