1964 -- The Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, issues a Decree to monitor money transfers flowing out of the country.
1977 -- The Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, issues Decree to regulate the use of ionized beams, prohibiting the import, export, manufacture, transport, and disposal of radioactive objects without permission from the Ministry of Health.
1997 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, visits the headquarters of the Equate Petrochemical Company complex on the occasion of the first shipment of polyethylene.
1998 -- Kuwait's National Football Team wins the 14th Gulf Championship in Bahrain.
