KUWAIT, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- 1952 -- The national cultural club was established.
1961 -- Kuwait Investment Company was established, with a KD 15 million capital, to deal with investment activities at the local and international levels.
1962 -- Algerian activist Jamila Buhraid visited Kuwait, where she is warmly greeted in appreciation for her leading role in the struggle against colonization. The visit is to manifest gratitude for the people of Kuwait who supported Algeria against French colonization.
1985 -- Iran seized Kuwaiti cargo ship Ibn Baitar.
2001 -- The Cabinet endorsed the project of establishing the "technology village," that encompasses ventures for water management, bio-technology and fuel cells.
2002 -- The Higher Council for Education approved new school system 5/4/3 to be implemented in the school year 2004/2005.
