1965 -- An Amiri Decree was issued stipulating establishment of the Credit and Savings Bank as a public authority with an independent administration under the supervision of the finance minister, aimed at providing real estate and agriculture credit facilities to citizens.
1975 -- His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued law 35/1975 ratifying the agreement for establishment of the Arab Petroleum Investment Corporation.
1995 -- Amiri decree 27/1995 was issued joining the private sector in construction of state property for housing care projects.
1997 -- Sudanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mustafa Osman Ismail arrived in Kuwait on the first visit by an official from his country since the Iraqi invasion of the country in 1990.
2000 -- Kuwaiti soccer pioneer Yousef Abdulwahab Suwaidan passed away at the age of 63. He was Kuwait's first international referee, serving since 1960.
2001 -- The cabinet agreed to establish a supportive female police force at the Ministry of Interior.
2003 -- Amiri decree 139/2003 was issued approving establishment of the American University of Kuwait, consisting of faculties of engineering, business management, arts and sciences.
2003 -- Amiri decree 140/2003 was issued approving establishment of a private college for high education, a branch of Maastricht Business School of the Netherlands in Kuwait for MBA degrees.
2003 -- Amiri decree 141/2003 was issued approving establishment of the Australian College of Kuwait.
2003 -- Amiri decree 142/2003 was issued approving establishment of the Gulf University for Science and Technology GUST.
2008 -- Ophthalmologist Dr. Mubarak Al-Ajmi conducted a critical surgery in Kuwait for a 22-year-old girl who lost her sight due to a clot in the main artery of the retina.
2010 -- Ministry of Interior attended graduation ceremony of the first batch of graduates of VIP protection unit (females). (end) rk
