KUWAIT, May 9 (KUNA) -- 1960 -- The State of Kuwait joined the World Health Organization.
1994 -- Kuwait was elected member of the executive board of World Health Organization.
1998 -- Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yasin arrived in Kuwait on an official visit.
1998 -- The National Assembly voted in favor of a bill establishing a KD 50 million portfolio at the Industrial Bank designed to support small enterprises by Kuwaitis. The portfolio is for 20 years, renewable.
2003 -- Kuwait joined the International Society for investment support agencies.
